Gabriel Bullen


Gabriel is a Canadian filmmaker from Yellowknife in northern Canada. He is currently based in Whitehorse YT, Canada. His filmography consists of short narrative, documentary, and animation. His fields of interest also include experimental film, storyboarding, and animation. He has shot with digital DSLR, Super 8 and Super 16 cameras, mobile phones, a RED Epic Mysterium-X and a Canon C300 Mark II. He creates his own analogue VFX using old techniques with ink, milk, and a fish tank.

Gabriel began working as a part-time production assistant at The Film House in Doha, Qatar, when he was 16, moving on to a full-time internship.

His first Super 8 film, "Monolith", was one of only eight films selected internationally by Straight 8 to premiere along side the Cannes Film Festival in May 2018.

In January 2020, Gabriel and Thomas were awarded the Harold Greenberg Fund Territorial Shorts Program grant for Yukon to shoot Weight, a narrative fiction drama short completed in March 2021. The film had its Yukon premier at the Available Light Film Festival in February 2022.

Thomas Bullen


Thomas was born in Yellowknife in northern Canada, and spent many of his formative years in Africa. He is currently based in Whitehorse YT. His filmography includes narrative and documentary shorts with his specific fields of interest being writing, directing, cinematography and sound editing. He has filmed with DSLR cameras, mobile phones, a RED Epic Mysterium-X and a Canon C300 Mark II. 

Tom began working as a part-time production assistant at The Film House in Doha, Qatar, when he was 13.

He worked as a sound mixer for Gabriel’s Super 8 film, "Monolith", one of only eight films selected by Straight 8 to premiere along side the Cannes Film Festival in May 2018.

During the summer, Thomas works on Gold Rush for Raw TV (producer/director/minicams), and on The Dirt for Discovery TV (assistant camera).
